The coaching process

Coaching…. gosh, I have been heading on this path since I was about 15 years old.  I have always known that I would be in the social sciences field, thought it would be psychology, mental health, social work, education, policy analysing, working with maori or voluntary groups… but they were too structured and always top-down focussed.  There seemed nothing clever enough to move people to positive perspectives fast enough or professional enough, within New Zealand.  Because of my belief I always ended up within a Customer Services role, to support more and more studies, until I could find through research that niche I was born for. 

I had to fight off alot of people who believed I was waisting my talents and resources and violently fought with myself about what I wanted and to stay with my belief. 

Eventually, it was through letting go of having to do something, that I had a chance to listen and wait for it to come to me… then a friend told me about a lady on Oprah, and how she was doing what I had always talked about doing, so I did some research into that and found the world of Coaching.  Thinking that I had done all the studying that one could do about people and moving forward, I reluctantly signed onto the International Coaching Academy, to find out more, and here I am accomplishing more than I could have thought and with even more skills and now a confidence in a service. 

The challenge now is to get out into the world and find their life that they always imagined, or have yet to imagine. 

I am so excited and ready to brave the dark to game play new ways of being and experiencing.

So, the messages I bring are ones of insight for me, which I add to my storage of knowledge, and appreciate any critical opinions on my views… bring it on!!!
